The philosophical question of the ages is, ‘What is the meaning of life?’
My Answer: The meaning of life is ‘Life’ !!!
More specifically, what I mean is that the primary purpose of this temporal life, we have, is to gain spiritual life; which is eternal. Christ grants spiritual life to all who put their faith in him.
There are a number of scriptures in which Jesus is equated with life.
Jesus Christ presents himself as life and the source of life.
Scriptures that present that Christ is Life:
All things were made through him. Without him, nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men.
— John 1:3 – 4 WEB
“…even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.”

One last point. The scriptures describe Solomon as the wisest man to have lived. This is the conclusion Solomon came to about a life without God:
“Meaningless ! Meaningless !” says the Teacher (Solomon)
“Utterly meaningless ! Everything is meaningless.”
What does man gain from all his labor at which he toils under the sun?
I have seen all things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.
